Max Carmichael and Matthew Christian return to take the stage at New York Irish Center's traditional Irish music concert series Blarney Star

Max Carmichael is a talented multi-instrumentalist on flute, banjo, guitar, and bouzouki, based in Chatham, NY. He performs and records with Cranston Dean, Irish group Curragh, NJ folk group Jackson Pines, and participates in Irish sessions around the Hudson Valley and beyond. Matthew Christian has established himself as one of Brooklyn’s most dynamic young traditional musicians. Currently, Matthew plays a range of music including high energy Irish rock, stately English Country Dances, energetic contra dances, and several of NYC’s favorite cozy Irish sessions.
