Get ready for a fun-filled adventure as we explore the vibrant world of the Irish language and culture! Led by the talented Caoimhe Nic Giollarnáith, who brings over 10 years of experience in teaching engaging and interactive classes, this course is designed specifically for kids aged 8-10.

6 week course (January 29th - March 5th)
Ages: 9-12 year olds
$180 ($30/week)
In this 6-week course, your child will:
Learn the basics of the Irish language through games, songs, and art.
Discover fascinating aspects of Irish history and geography.

Mid-Winter Children’s festival - 2026
While the summer months bring the excitement of our Tír na nÓg Festival, we believe creativity shouldn't wait for warmer days! That’s why we host a vibrant two-day festival during the mid-winter school recess, celebrating Irish dance, music, art, and culture. Over the course of two days, children can immerse themselves in enriching group workshops, exploring a variety of artistic forms and fostering their creativity in a fun and engaging environment.
Feb 19-20, $60/per day ($120 total)

Tír Na nÓg children’s festival - summer 2026
New York Irish Center’s Annual Summer celebration: youth, Irish roots, culture, heritage, and arts. Through workshops in drama, music, visual arts & dance, we explore the oldest of Irish legends and folklore.

McManus school of irish dance
Led by Patricia McManus, the McManus School of Irish Dance introduces children aged 4-12 to Irish Dance.
Classes Schedule:
Mondays 3:30-8:30 PM
Saturdays, Jiggy Tots (Aged 18-months+) 9:30-10:15AM
Saturdays (Ages 4-8), 10:20-11AM
For younger children aged 2-4, the McManus School also offers Jiggy Tots, a pre-Irish dance and movement program. These classes focus on building strength, enhancing motor skills, improving coordination, and fostering body awareness. Through dance and engaging educational movement games, children develop creativity and confidence in a fun and nurturing environment.
