Guggi’s fascinating experiences lead him to a withdrawn artist lifestyle, shaped by friendship, trauma, and an uncompromising commitment to art. Guggi’s work explores the depictions of everyday objects with a focus on repetition and abstraction, his signature motifs of bowls and other vessels freed of their context. Director Thuillier’s patient exploration immerses the viewer in Guggi’s creative process and completed works.
