This program begins with an overview of key Irish genealogy resources, research strategies, and practical tips to help you navigate common challenges in Irish records. Whether you’re just beginning your family history journey or looking to break through a research roadblock, you’ll gain valuable tools and insights.
Following the overview, we’ll host a lively “Census Party” centered on the newly released 1926 Irish census. Participants will take on a series of fun, focused challenges designed to explore the census, discover hidden details, and sharpen search skills. It’s a hands-on opportunity to dive into this exciting new resource while learning collaboratively.
As the challenges involve accessing and searching the online census site, attendees should bring an electronic device. Laptops are strongly recommended for the best experience, though tablets and smartphones can be used if needed.All experience levels are welcome — curiosity and enthusiasm encouraged!Light refreshments will be provided.
