STARTING FRESH:  SONGS OF SPRING, REBIRTH AND RENEWAL
with the EIIC Creatives

The EIIC (Emerald Isle Immigration Center) Creatives are a group of artists-in-residence working from July 2022 through June 2024, through the Creatives Rebuild New York Artists Employment Program grant, in support of the immigration legal, health access, and social services of the EIIC (Bronx & Queens). The group includes West African multi-instrumentalist and singer Abdoulaye Alhassane Toure (Mali/Niger), Irish traditional singer and musician Mary Courtney, Irish singer-songwriter and musician Allen Gogarty, Peruvian-American filmmaker Erika Gregorio Lopez, Chinese-American blues musician Jeff Lum, and Colombian-born painter Alejandro Pinzón.
