Holds Rountable Discussion with NY Irish front-line service providers.

Jimmy Deenihan, TD, came to visit us on Thursday November 6th, holding a roundtable discussion of important issues facing Irish immigrants in New York.  Representatives of Emerald Isle Immigration Center and the Aisling Irish Center participated in the meeting, along with members of the NYIC team and the newly-installed Irish consul general in New York, Barbara Jones.

Afterwards Mr. Deenihan attended our welcoming reception in our newly-renovated Paddy Reilly Community Hall.  Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and State Assemblywoman Cathy Nolan were also in attendance and spoke fondly of their connection to the Irish and its people.

Mr. Deenihan is the first-ever Minister for Diaspora Affairs, a newly-created role in the Irish Government.
