Come join us for a talk on
Getting Started:
Researching Your Irish Ancestors
This will be a free introductory session on the basics of Irish
genealogy. Learn how Irish history has shaped the information available
and gain tips and recommendations on how to find out more about your
Irish roots.
Led by Bridget Bray,
organizer of The NYC Irish / British Genealogy Meetup Group and
The Genealogy Event, a fall genealogy fair in New York, the
afternoon promises to take you on a whirlwind tour back a few centuries
and hopefully spark your interest in getting started on your own family
history research!
Starting February 1st! Wednesdays:
1pm - 4pm
Starting February 1st , drop by the
New York Irish Center between 1pm and 4pm for one on one assistance with
genealogy and family history questions.
Joe Buggy, experienced
genealogist and family historian will be on hand to provide free guidance in
your quest to research your Irish ancestry. A member of the
Association of Professional Genealogists and the Irish Family
History Forum and a former tour guide in two 13th century religious
sites in Ireland, St Mary's Church Gowan and St Canice's Cathedral
Kilkenny Joe will provide the opportunity for you to advance your
knowledge and the further discovery of your Irish roots and heritage!
