Senior
Citizens Lunch Club
This currently takes the form of a Lunch and Afternoon Social
Club. A number of
Irish restaurants
and caterers donate the meals on a
rotating basis (thank you!) The Club meets on Wednesday
afternoons, from 11:30am to 4 pm.
The club members also choose a program of their choice from a
number of options: music and dance, games, outings, talks on
healthy eating, exercise, finance, Medicare, insurance etc. We
will also have a hairdresser, a nurse, a podiatrist, etc. on
occasion. Other programs offered to senior citizens include routine
medical prevention, board games, and yoga/aerobics. There will
also be a "25" card game after each
Wednesday's lunch.
Access-a Ride is used by some members who cannot easily travel
on the subway. If you need this service, please call the Center
for information, or visit the MTA's website at
http://www.mta.info/mta/ada/paratransit.htm#access.

"25"
Card Night
Stop by the Center on the last Friday of every month to join old
friends and new for an enjoyable evening of "25" on the ground
floor meeting room, starting at 6:30pm. Entry fee is just $15
per person, with half of the proceeds going to the winner's pot,
and the other half going to the Center's upkeep. If you're not
familiar with the game itself, please visit
http://www.pagat.com/spoil5/25.html#25 to learn more, or
stop by the Center anyway - one of the resident "experts" will show the
ropes!
You can also play with our senior members after the weekly "Senior
Citizens Lunch Club" wraps up every Wednesday afternoons.
Each Friday from 1:30 to 3:30pm, Vera runs an
arts and crafts club, geared for Seniors and retirees. If
