Trad Sessions
The Úll Mór (Big Apple) branch of
Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann holds a traditional Irish music and dancing seisiún at the Center on a monthly basis - usually on the third Sunday of the month, starting at 4pm.  Lots of musicians, singers and dancers come down to join in this late-afternoon session of great trad.
(Check our homepage for confirmed dates.)

Senior Citizens Lunch Club

This is our Wednesday Lunch and Afternoon Social Club. A number of Irish restaurants and caterers donate the meals on a rotating basis (thank you!) The Club meets on Wednesday afternoons, from 11:30am to 4 pm. Access-a Ride is used by some members who cannot easily travel on the subway. If you need this service, please call the Center for information, or visit the Access-A-Ride website.

                                "25" Card Night

Stop by the Center on the last Friday of every month to join old friends and new for an enjoyable evening of "25" on the ground floor meeting room, starting at 6:30pm. Entry fee is just $15 per person, with half of the proceeds going to the winner's pot, and the other half going to the Center's upkeep. If you're not familiar with the game itself, please visit http://www.pagat.com/spoil5/25.html#25 to learn more, or stop by the Center anyway - one of the resident "experts" will show the ropes!

You can also play with our senior members after the weekly "Senior Citizens Lunch Club" wraps up every Wednesday afternoons.

Each Friday from 1:30 to 3:30pm, Vera Doherty runs an arts and crafts club, geared for Seniors and retirees. If you would like to join her for a relaxing and creative afternoon each week, give us a call at 718-482-0909 or contact Vera at ArtsAndCrafts@NewYorkIrishCenter.org.

Any Requests?

If you have a suggestion for a class or activity, or would like to join any of our already scheduled events, please stop by the Center or call us at (718) 482-0909. You can also send us your suggestion online by clicking here. We are always eager to hear from you!
